Taxpayers oppose Globe-Springerville highway plan
Greenlee and Graham counties urge Arizona taxpayers to oppose a three to five million dollar replacement highway. They note 95 percent of 1926 tourists traveled to Petrified Forest and Grand Canyon, while the Phoenix to Globe to Safford route benefits the state as a whole. Representatives from Navajo County will attend a June 15 meeting at Hotel Adams in Phoenix to press local wishes.
