Missouri Democrats at the state convention endorsed Senator James A. Reed for the Democratic presidential nomination and decided to send an instructed 36 member delegation to Houston to vote for him until released. The convention also added 16 members to the Missouri delegation and kept Reed’s slate intact despite a brief opposition move.
Mrs. Fred Sherman, 25, confessed to murdering her two and a half year old daughter Elizabeth Carolina with a stove poker on the Sherman ranch near Fort Morgan Colorado. Neighbors say she cried I hammered her to death as husband W J Chittick returned and found the blood stained weapon beside the child.
Seven bandits including a former policeman were executed by police in Mexico City today following their capture.

Brooklyn court rules husband must provide for wife in a civil suit by Mrs. Feron Shannon who claimed $35,228.79. Shannon alleges her husband, living on a $300,000 trust, provided none of the family needs or loans.
W H Dagg former president of the defunct Bank of Winslow refuses to testify claiming constitutional rights. He is under indictment along with B L Neal R K Corkill and O Grey directors. Testimony covers bank closing in 1924 and loans pending from the Finance Corporation.

In Yuma Arizona on February 28 235 valley boys waged a war against gophers. More than 8000 gophers lost their tails during extermination efforts led by E M Mercer rodent specialist. Forty prize gophers turned in 3975 tails as trophies, with awards of 3 to 10 dollars.
