Los Angeles February 23. Deputy sheriffs searched tonight for two bandits and the expensive automobile, a $1500 diamond ring, and $500 in currency taken from Art F Carpenter of Long Beach. Carpenter, an automobile dealer, demoed a car to a boy who wanted the mother to see it. The mother then claimed the gunman role and, with the boy, took the valuables and shoved Carpenter from the car.
