HONOLULU February 15 The barrack building of the sixty fifth service squadron at Lake field was swept by fire last night causing 150000 dollars in losses. The high wind drove flames through the structure forcing 135 men to flee leaving personal belongings behind. No injuries were reported as officers and men fought to prevent the blaze from reaching ammunition dumps hangars and other buildings.
In New York on February 15, the civil suit for 55,000 by Eldridge O. Peters of Waverhill against Welter S. Ward opened in federal court. First witnesses Harry Green, a former state trooper, and Duncan Rose described locating Clarence Peters body on a lonely road near White Plains.
Desire of Mason City Iowa student Ione Olson to know men led her to masquerade as a man for two years. In Phoenix she mingled with high school boys, worked citrus fields, bowled, and served as a telegraph messenger while police investigate taxi holdups. She admits knowing a robbery suspect Harding but claims little involvement. Olson says this was her first arrest.
Spokane police say two shipments of opium valued at about 500000 dollars were seized. A trunk containing 240000 dollars worth was recovered at a railway depot and sent to Seattle as unclaimed. Five Chinese were arrested in Seattle and Chicago, part of a wider ring involving American citizens and crewmen on Pacific liners.

C C Ogle Las Vegas named first vice president W W Nielsen Santa Fe second vice president B L Wiles Albuquerque secretary treasurer and a list of eight executive committee members announced. The convention ends Wednesday.
Chester Allsup alias James Gordon was arrested on a warrant charging a statutory offense in connection with the death of 25 year old Myra Cooley in Bisbee. Doctors cited medical malpractice as the cause of death.
Twelve students and one instructor were treated for cuts and acid burns after an explosion in the San Pedro High School chemistry laboratory. The blast, caused reportedly by gas under the floor, sent glass flying and shattered windows. six students remained hospitalized with burns while others were sent home after treatment. Fire followed but was extinguished and damage was small.
BISBEE Feb 15 AP Barney Heard of this city was instantly killed when an automobile he rode in went off the divide west of here in the early hours. Thomas McGuire, the driver, suffered a dislocated shoulder. James Kenney and Bob Hill, passengers, escaped with minor injuries.
Weather reports indicate mostly fair conditions in southern Arizona with possible snow or rain in the north Wednesday and Thursday and little temperature change. In New Mexico expect partly cloudy skies with likely snow or rain in the northern portion and stable temperatures. Windsor? A slight quake struck about 60 miles northwest of San Francisco today, extending into the central coastal district. Seismograph records from the University of California at Berkeley show it began around 3:50 p.m. and lasted three minutes with no damage or alarm reported.
