He questioned ether charges and recounted testimony by Mrs Louisa Northcott about family relations and alleged claims against Cyrus G Northcott.
Mrs. A. N. Rosenquest of Bradsworth Saskatchewan says she attended Gordon Stewart Northcott's birth. The claim challenges previous statements about his mother Louisa Northcott and mother candidate Winifred Clark. Regina vital statistics found no birth record for Northcott.
Five people have died from meningitis in Nogales Sonora Mexico health officials reported no cases on the U S side as of today.
Jake Bird a Louisiana mulatto charged with assault with intent to kill faced a fatigued late day cross examination. He denied the attack on Harold G Stribling and his wife and offered an alibi. State attorney Dickasen began the argument, attacking defense witnesses reputations and comparing Mrs Stribling with Bird. Instructions to the jury will be given Saturday morning.
In Oakland on February 1 Rev. Frederick R. Wedge a former prize fighter now a reformer was under hospital observation at his request. His wife Jennie Holloway Wedge said she cannot live with him again and fears him after he admitted an impulse to throw her from a window tied to boxing blows.
President Calvin Coolidge and Mrs. Coolidge dedicate Edward Bok Bird Sanctuary at Mountain Lake Florida before about 65 000 attendees. The event features carillon hymns by Anton Brees, a grotto bird display, palm trees planted, and a tour of the sanctuary tower with sixty one bells. The visit ends with tea and dinner at the Bok home before a Washington departure imminent.
