Brandfort Kopje Victory by Seventh Division

Brush Tebuer of Brandfort reports a successful operation by the Seventh Division with aid from the First and Third cavalry brigades under French and Le Gallais mounted infantry. The enemy retreated to Brandfort as our troops held the kopjes. Casualties include Captain Going killed and several officers wounded among the Scottish Borderers, with about 100 rank and file.

War Between Unions In San Francisco Over Wages

San Francisco March 31 Wear is on between the International Union of Bricklayers and Masons and the San Francisco Bricklayers association. The International union will cut bricklayers wages from five to three fifty and reduce masons wages accordingly starting April 1. The local association will resist to the bitter end with backing from the building Trades Council which bars its men from jobs involving International union workers.
