Chicago June 28 General John J Stibbs chief pension examiner and District Attorney Milchrist completed an investigation into a pension fraud. They recovered over 8000 diverted from the rightful beneficiary Dr John B Taylor a 67 year old former surgeon in the Twenty third Illinois volunteer infantry who went insane after 1869 and has been confined to asylums Mrs Alice L Taylor his wife who has drawn 26564 since 1874 admitted saving 10000 from the pension funds. An order required Mrs Taylor to account and 3100 was surrendered. Conservatorship then placed with Illinois Trust and Savings Bank.
