Washington June 26 The senate disposed of the conference report on the bankruptcy bill without debate. Senator Nelson Minnesota explained the measure as agreed by the conferees. The report passed 43 to 13 as Hawaiian annexation resolutions dominated sessions with McEnery Louisiana and Turley Young Democrats speaking during routine business.
Washington June 25 supporters of the currency reform bill reported by McCleary of Minnesota will not urge further consideration this session. The bill has Republican support though some oppose bringing it up now due to war questions and Senate passage concerns. La Crosse Wisconsin June 25 the supreme court affirmed Loeffler versus Modern Woodmen of America excluding wholesale liquor dealers from membership.
