Cleveland wanes as Tilden’s letter is released early to counter his shadow.

A Quincy Texas BostonChicago report identifies a boy claiming to be Charlie Ross. G W Morin of Troy NY supports the claim, citing matching scar, eye color, burns, and birth marks. The boy says he was kidnapped by gypsies ten years ago, escaped, and was taken to Missouri then Quincy. Doctors and officials examine him while Morin plans to bring him to Philadelphia for adoption if proof remains inconclusive.
