Tragedy in Outreach: Five Die in Indiana Cutter Case

Two Thieves Drag 600-Pound Safe Through Bridgeport Streets

A Bridgeport burglary dragged a 600 pound safe from a corner grocery on East Main and Water Streets to the north end, a mile away. Officers tracked the robbers to a house on Second precinct territory where Patrick Riel, John Connolly, and Edward Burns were captured. a loaded revolver and dynamite cartridges were found, with the safe unbroken.
