Two Ships Collide Off New York Harbor Report
A report from New York on December 19 notes an oyster fishing boat picked up two ship’s boats from the North sea area. The steamer Ganquan, a British vessel, left Hiogo for Sukdanal while the Leerdam hailed from the River Platte. Leerdam passengers were landed safely at Bamburg. the fate of Ganquan and Nae Bia with Leerdam is uncertain. All Ganquan survivors have been landed at Coxhaven by a French steamer.
