Robbery on Chicago Mail Wagon Steals $6000 in Currency
Five men halted a U S mail wagon on Mather Street near Desplaines and Halstead stealing registered pouches. About $6000 in currency and other valuables were taken while the crew fled, police later recovering some items in a North Side refuse box. Investigators seek the remaining clues.
