Washington December 11 under the house poles the District of Columbia committee led by Mr Bingham outlined the legislative executive and judicial appropriation bill. The bill was read for amendment and passed as the house adjourned at 8 15 p m.

Labor Federation Adopts Resolutions Committee Report

In Louisville on December 11 the American Federation of Labor resolutions committee submitted its report. It urged support for initiative and referendum and backed bills for a higher education pill and an eight hour workday for post office workers. It also favored municipal ownership of public utilities while opposing a department of commerce and industry. Special committees were formed on the eight hour day compulsory arbitration and an organization in Puerto Rico.

Carter Sentence Upheld by Federal Court in Kansas Case

The transport Hancock arrived at Manila then Nagasaki with about 1600 sailors and soldiers killed in battle or from disease in the Philippines China Guam and Hawaii.
