Paris dispatch reports anarchist Marchal arrested after the chamber of deputies bombing. He confessed fully, saying he aimed the blast at President Dupuy but swerved. Injured were treated at Hotel Dieu with authorities vowing enhanced protection for colleges and professors.
Paris reports a bomb in the chamber of deputies injuring at least 80, including 14 members. The blast from the right gallery scattered iron fragments, with many spectators and journalists wounded. Deputy leaders Jourde and JauRez condemned the outrage, blaming anarchists, while officials moved to resume proceedings.

The stone structure cost about 800000 and dedicatory services will continue through the week. Austin December 11 The Driskell hotel in Austin was bought by actor M B Curtis for 450000, including 1280 acres of land near Fresno Cal, 300 acres as a raisin vineyard. Curtis plans an opera house next year. Egg will make his home here.
A Chicago physician Dr D C Pearson pledges 25000 toward Drury college at Springfield if 75000 in matching funds are raised, or he will raise the gift to 50000 if 150000 more can be secured from other sources.
