Plans for rapid railroad from city hall to Grand Central

The route has been fixed and property owner consent obtained for a four track railroad from the post office via Elm Street and Fourth Avenue to Forty second Street. Express trains would run on the middle tracks while locals use the outer tracks, with capital subscribed to fund the project to enable seven minute city to Grand Central travel.

Crime Nearly Eliminated Says Secret Service Report

The annual report of the chief of the secret service division shows 885 arrests for counterfeiting violations in the past fiscal year, with 70 convicted and imprisoned. It notes that modern counterfeiting is mainly the work of Italian bands across the country and that actual counterfeit losses were minimal, limited to two barely harmful silver certificates.
