Penitent Thief Returns a Roll of Greenbacks

In Philadelphia on December 1, a Catholic priest received the confession of James Sullivan who returned $580 in greenbacks stolen from tavern keeper Tomm ey after a 1884 murder. Sullivan had killed Tommey and was later pardoned after three years. The money was restored to its owner.
