Monster Serpent Seen in Rice Lake Canada Excites Town
Cobourg Ont August reports describe a lake monster in Rice Lake near Harwood drawing serious attention. Two American fishermen chased the creature from White's Island toward Harwood, noting a horselike head, gray skin, pink gullet, and long fins. It vanished near Tick Island and Otanabes River channel, with further sightings claimed by others as Captain Brady’s yacht searched the area. An organized party plans pursuit or capture and locals consider magistrate affidavits as they fear the horrid visitor.
