Tornado Hits David City Demolishing Buildings

A tornado one mile wide struck David City at 6 p.m. Friday, demolishing the Burlington Missouri depot the schoolhouse foundry brick hotel under construction and two elevators. One man was killed another injured and many more were bruised by flying timber and debris. A group of women from the Woman's Christian Temperance union touring the lawn were carried by the wind but none seriously hurt.
