During the weekend of May 14 a Methodist Sunday School anniversary was celebrated at Wingham with a Sunday afternoon service led by Rev CH Buttaworth. The event continued Monday with a public meeting, prize giving, songs, recitations, and thanks to organizers and supporters.
Beautifully given prizes delighted children as Ma Buteworth stood with Butlerworth to honor Benool for the privilege of presenting elm and congratulating all. A happy farewell marked the eve of Mrs Bert Mev’s departure for Wentminster as the gathering ended with warm goodbyes.
Mr D. McDonald and a panel of optometrists plan a visiting day across Sydney and regional shops including Walshe's Pharmacy and Walker's Pharmacy. The schedule lists Wednesday and Thursday in August with visiting hours from 9 am to 5 pm.
