Taree P and C May Meeting Reports School Progress
The May meeting of the Taree Parents and Citizens Association was chaired by President Mr Beattie. The headmaster Mr Maguire presented a long report detailing Anzac Day and interservice participation, library fund-raising, wireless gramophone plans, and plans for Empire Day events. The district council reports covered finances and library improvements, with officers elected. Mrs Parvin and the secretary were directed to donate office supplies for the effort. Adimilasion fixed at L and Page's band engaged. A supper for the children was planned with a proposed coded dance after sessions. During Mrs Hiedel's absence, Mire Purnell to be secretary. The head master and staff were thanked for half year efforts. The funeral for a local relative occurred Friday at Dawson Cemetery.

Obituaries From Forster And Taree Regions
Victorian visitor Mr Fawcett Cameron Fin lay died in Lerngon aged 62 after a caravan holiday at Forster. Interment was in Forster Church of England cemetery. In a separate notice, Mr John Berton Staunton, 47, a returned serviceman, died at MLD Hospital after hospital treatment. He had served in three wars including the Boer War and the Great War and lived in Copeland district. Frank Kirby of Taree spoke with Gloucester police about Staunton, noting his years of service and high esteem. His stepson in Sydney was mentioned.

The bride, eldest daughter of Mr Harry Miller, wore embossed satin with orange blossom coronet. bridesmaid Miss Joyce Miller wore turquoise moire taffeta. Best man was Mr Alan Lewis. Reception at Masonic Hall Newtown followed by a Sydney artists evening and a honeymoon to Brisbane.
