Examination demanded for Vermont doctors by state board
State medical board held at Burlington on October 14 summoned physicians from across Vermont to take examinations under a new law requiring a horate and registration with the secretary of state. Forty-five doctors appeared, some paying fees under protest, and Attorney General Fitts advised that examinations are required.

The twentieth annual Vermont Christian Endeavor union convention opened in Richmond on Wednesday. Vermont leads New England in gains in new societies since the Increase campaign, with 19 percent. Chittenden Caledonia Orleans and Rutland counties plus Mispah union report a ten percent rise. Vermont sent 20 representatives to the Silverbay missionary conference at Lake George, equal to Maine New Hampshire and Rhode Island combined. Addresses were given by Rev. Guy Lamson and Rev. George S Mills. Benjamin Williams was sentenced to imprisonment in the Windsor state prison for second degree murder, with prior acts in Harlington on May 12 1904 cited. Williams pleaded insanity. he has been in an asylum at Waterbury for observation and remained silent at trial. He is held for assault with intent to kill against a conductor on the Barre Montpelier electric railway.
