Fuji Gift Shop brings Orient to Kokomo shoppers
In Kokomo, Indiana, the Fuji Gift Shop at 1401 E. Markland Ave. run by Ronald G. Eisenhower and Yaeka Eisenhower offers hand painted china, wooden statues, silkscreen scrolls, incense, tea services, kimonos, and a range of Oriental foods from Hawaii, Korea, the Philippines and Japan. The couple, married in Tokyo, opened the shop in 1971 after earlier ventures in Peru and Wichita, while Yacko shares her passion for Oriental beauty with local customers.
