Bold Marauder Flees After Raid on South Market Home
A resident on south Market street awoke to an intruder early this morning. The unknown man entered through an unlocked door, searched lower rooms then entered the bedroom where Mrs. Haymaker screamed. He escaped over a rear exit and fence as neighbors aided. Mr. Haymaker had left for a hunting trip around 2 AM.

Barr and Smith Wed in Presby Church Ceremony
Mr. E. Elliott Barr of Stephens City and Miss Minnie E. Smith of this city married by Rev. H. M. White at the Presbyterian parsonage this morning in a small gathering. After the ceremony the couple left for Niagara Falls by car and train.
Monument to 12th Connecticut Volunteers Erected
A granite memorial for the fallen members of the 12th Connecticut Volunteers is being set up in the National Cemetery. Yesterday the 5 ton sub-bass from its skids moved about four to five feet without injury.
