Painful Coal Oil Burn Injures Mrs. Coe At Home
Mrs. John C. Coe suffered painful burns when a coal oil spill set her dress aflame while a boy burned caterpillars beneath. Tarantula Reported in Local Grocery Cellar
Clerk Bernard OLeary at Haddoxs grocery found a small tarantula emerging from a banana bunch in the cellar yesterday. The spider escaped downstairs and has unsettled the clerks who now avoid the cellar. The bite is widely feared as dangerously poisonous.

Vehicle accident leaves Jacqueline Spangler injured
While Mrs. Captain C. W. Spangler and daughter Jacqueline were driving, the king bolt failed and the horses bolted. Jacqueline was thrown to the ground and, though initially thought unharmed, developed serious symptoms by yesterday causing alarm among relatives and friends.

The funeral of the late Evan Jones Esq died Thursday afternoon was held this morning at ten from his son John F. Jones's residence on east Piccadilly street. Rev Dr James R Graham of Kent St Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers from the Mutual Farmers Club included N W Solenberger N B Branson E W Lupton John L Bond Lewis Pidgeon and Hugh S Lupton. Interment was in Mt Hebron.
