In Front Royal Winchester completed its first trip yesterday by routing Front Royal eight to one. Nicholls dominated the mound allowing few if any chances while Snyder, Calvert, and Tommy Fielded sharply. The whole team played near flawless defense as Atwell and Cully made key catches and Winsheas record moved to three wins and one loss.

A Bus Party From New York Visits Willow Lawn
Mr H C Jarrett and wife of New York hosted a bus party in Winchester last evening. The group left at eight o clock and visited Willow Lawn the home of Mrs Annie Hack near town before returning to Winchester about 11 30. Narrow Escape At Fairfax Hall Stable
George Purcell nearly hanged himself after a box slipped while he slept in a stable at Fairfax Hall alley. Trapped by a bolted door he stuck his head through a window light and could not withdraw it until a boy named Edw. Orcutt freed him from the perilous position.

Stewart Jackson known as Jock the bootblack was arrested after a clash with a Summit Point baseball player. Justice Albin fined him 4.50. nonpayment means ten days of street cleaning. Grant Campbell and Lucy Thornton Barbour daughter face a stealth meat charge. Campbell just finished ten days on the chain gang. Fred Thompson’s chicken stealing case was postponed until Monday.
