Funeral Rites for Hon. John Randolph Tucker Held in Winchester and Lexington
The funeral of Virginia lawyer and statesman John Randolph Tucker drew a large crowd as services were held in Lexington at the Lee Memorial Chapel and in Winchester at Mt Hebron Cemetery. Dignitaries including Jno. G. Carlisle and other officials attended. cadets from Virginia Military Institute observed respect, and floral tributes honored his career. Resolutions from the Winchester Bar praised his learning, eloquence, and character, and extended sympathy to his family.
