Miss Cornelia Billings daughter of the late Rev Silas Billings Presbyterian minister and principal at Fairfax Hall died in Grand Rapids Michigan after health decline. Remains travel to Loudoun Street church for 3 PM services at Mt Hebron Cemetery interment on Friday conducted by Rev Dr H M White.

The remains of Alfred H. Byrd who died in New York Saturday night arrived by Pullman parlor car with his parents. Interment took place at Old Stone Chapel graveyard at noon with a large attendance including city residents and several named mourners.

Ladies Meet to Organize Friendship Fire Bazaar
Seventy eight women gathered in the Friendship Fire Company hall parlor for a February bazaar and oyster supper planning session. Mrs J Perry Haddox was elected president with Mrs B A Seabright and Mrs W W Striker as vice presidents, Miss Louise Garton secretary, and Mrs Jas Haymaker treasurer. The group adjourned to meet December 31 and praised the ladies' enthusiasm for a successful fair.
