Bats Force Virginia Mansion to Be Burned

Aylett family heirs plan to burn Montville in Aylett Virginia to rid the historic mansion of thousands of bats that inhabit the grand rooms. Attempts with poison and clubs failed as the bat infestation grew since warm weather arrived. The six children of William Aylett own Montville, inherited from their father who gained it from Elizabeth Henry who married an Aylett. The lessees, living onsite with their family, could not use the house, and bat hunting by prize seeking workers did not reduce the infestation.
