Grand livestock fair features riding, balloons and stunts
The fair runs with cavalry drills at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. French balloonist Prof La Reux will launch from 3,000 feet, followed by Jumbo Willingham’s mid air feats. Stock exhibits fill 300 stalls with many Virginia Maryland and West Virginia entries. Fine poultry, cattle, hogs and sheep are shown along with farm products and a varied fruit display led by T. A. Lewis with 170 apple varieties.
