A Star Tannery couple Emma Ponton and Elijah Pifer obtained a marriage license at the County Clerk's office and wed at St John’s Lutheran. they returned home for forgiveness from the bride’s parents and now reside with the groom’s parents. Five Weary Willies Released After Vagrancy Charge
The five suspects known as the Weary Willies were arrested in Shawnee Hollow during a banquet at sunset. They faced vagrancy charges and suspicions of burglary at D. Wingerter's residence. Judge Bragonier warned them not to return to Winchester and ordered one hour to leave town or face thirty days on the chain gang. a southeastern departure followed.
