A party of distinguished visitors began a two week health and pleasure trek through the Shenandoah Valley on foot. Led by Allen Boyd of the Congressional Library and including Lawrence Washington and Richard B. Washington, they started in Washington and reached Winchester last night. They will proceed to Strasburg and continue upriver tomorrow, staying at Mrs. Nancy Coble's boarding house tonight. Lawrence Washington is a Waverley, Fauquier County native and George Washington’s great nephew.
