Small Pimple Ends In Blood Poisoning
Mrs James Compton-Lewis recently back from Baltimore slowly recovers from a serious injury after a pimple on her left hand was poisoned by a fabric contact. The abrasion led to blood poisoning threatening her arm but strenuous aid saved it and possibly her life. She is improving rapidly.

The Harrisonburg Register reports Dr. J B Amiss received an engraved mourning card from the family of the late Charles B Rouss thanking him for sympathy. The two men were boyhood friends at Winchester Academy and later roomed together for three years. Rouss became famous in New York, but kept in touch with Amiss who visited him on Broadway.

Young man nearly injured at Chelf drug store window
Mr Sam Wills narrowly escaped serious injury while cleaning store windows at R. E. Chelf's drug store. He fell from a six foot step ladder but was saved by Chelf who caught him before he struck the tiled entrance.

Little Pearl Pine Buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery
Little Pearl Pine was laid to rest this evening in Mount Hebron Cemetery. The funeral at the church near Albert Pine’s home drew a large crowd. Rev. A A P Neal delivered a moving sermon and Rev N N added solemn remarks. The child was deeply beloved, and the distress of her sister, mother, and father touched attendees.
