Young Emory Washburn son of Rev E D Washburn of Romney West Virginia broke both bones in his left leg after his foot became stuck in a stirrup while dismounting a horse. He was brought home and Dr Wilson treated the injury. The fall also left him badly bruised.

Charles Owen Dehaven a well known county resident died Sunday at his home near Shockeysville. He was son of the late Oliver Dehaven and grandson of Thomas Bohrer and Caleb Dehaven. Surviving are his widowed mother and two sisters. Funeral services were held at the house Monday afternoon by Rev. J A Shockey with pallbearers John Whitacre Howard Shade Charles Mason Austin Whitacre North H Shockey and Michael Shade.
