Baltimore and Ohio Rail gains West Virginia line
The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad announced it has acquired the Hampshire Southern Railroad, a 39 mile line from Romney to Petersburg, West Virginia. The purchase allows through service via Green Spring to Petersburg starting July 1, linking Romney with the Eastern trade centers and opening a mineral and agricultural development corridor.
