Miss Ethel Slage To Wed June 19

Remains of Moore S. to Be Brought Here for Burial

Remains arrive in Winchester from New York City for burial after death from locomotor ataxia. Funeral service set for 11 a.m. at Christ Protestant Episcopal Church, with Rev. Williarn D. Smith officiating. Burial at Mount Hebron Cemetery. Moore, about 40, survived by widow and children in New York, mother, brother Robert, and sister Nannie Moore Gratchen. He was a noted accountant with a successful career.

Miss Elizabeth Humbird Roberts Weds Leslie L Helmer in Cumberland

In Charles Town W V June 10 Rev Dr J H Lacy of Winchester preached the baccalaureate sermon for Stephenson Female Seminary. Distiller Thomas Sager Fined and Jailed in Liquor Case

In a circuit court near Cold Spring, distiller Thomas Sager was found guilty on the second liquor indictment and sentenced to two months in jail by Judge T W Harrison. He was fined $250 and remains jailed until August 10 for federal proceedings in Apache West Virginia set for June 14. The first indictment yielded no verdict, while six other indictments were continued.

A Modern Building Replacing Old Fletcher Property

The Fletcher property at Market and Ticcadilly streets is being torn down to make room for a modern two story garage for Mr N A Cooper of Winchester. Sooper expects to award the contract soon. The new shop will be Cooper’s headquarters for automobiles and improve the city block.

Dr Milton Eskey Dies Far West Prominent Physician

Mr D R Eskey of Winchester received a Los Angeles telegram announcing the death of his brother Dr Milton Eskey a noted Pacific coast physician and hospital founder from heart enlargement. He was about 47 with a widow a daughter and five brothers. He was a Freemason Mystic Stirner Methodist and a prolific medical writer and hymn author. Funeral is expected tomorrow but travel to Los Angeles will delay attendance.

Mr. Louis MecVicar formerly of this city now lives in Newport News Virginia spent a month in Edinburg with his sister Mrs Whisson for health. He passed through Winchester Saturday morning on his way back to resume his job in the main office of the Newport News Electric Railway Company.

Miss Sarah Bila Barnes 69 died at home on Sunday morning of tuberculosis after a brief illness. She left two sisters and one brother, with funeral arrangements undecided. The item also notes other local updates including illness of Captain John W Beaty, a Confederate veteran, and various residents' activities.
