Distiller Thomas Sager Fined and Jailed in Liquor Case
In a circuit court near Cold Spring, distiller Thomas Sager was found guilty on the second liquor indictment and sentenced to two months in jail by Judge T W Harrison. He was fined $250 and remains jailed until August 10 for federal proceedings in Apache West Virginia set for June 14. The first indictment yielded no verdict, while six other indictments were continued.

Mr D R Eskey of Winchester received a Los Angeles telegram announcing the death of his brother Dr Milton Eskey a noted Pacific coast physician and hospital founder from heart enlargement. He was about 47 with a widow a daughter and five brothers. He was a Freemason Mystic Stirner Methodist and a prolific medical writer and hymn author. Funeral is expected tomorrow but travel to Los Angeles will delay attendance.
