Peanut politics in Virginia contest sparks party feud
A Virginia county column mocks “peanut politics” as Montague and Echols supporters clash over Swanson and Echols. Editors urge restraint while noting the danger of infighting to Democrats and warning the Republican foe could gain if the feud worsens. The piece cites Harrisonburg Free Press and Farmville Herald comments and ends with a local Rouss Hook and Ladder Company meeting notice at 8 p.m. for a regular session.
