Sillman Fined for Stamps Theft in Stonebridge Post Office
Thomas J. Sillman former post master at Stonebridge Clarke county was fined 90.91 and costs for stealing stamps from his office after pleading guilty. Evidence showed ed stamps valued at that amount were used to buy merchandise and alcohol for personal use. Witnesses included W L Fultz and others. Sillman was removed from office last December. Separate case continued involved Beavers Dant McFarland and Morris charged with breaking into and stealing 95.85 from the Clearbrook post office and other articles. Morris was previously arrested in West Virginia and brought to Winchester for trial.

The body of Miss Catherine E. Hoose who died in Hagerstown Md after a blood poison illness was brought to Winchester and buried in Mount Hebron Cemetery Coontz lot. Rev Dr J H Lacy conducted graveside rites. Miss Hoose born in Germany 64 years ago spent most of life in the United States. One brother John Hoose of Tilivots.
