Citizens and taxpayers of Upequoh District meet at Stephens City public school on June 3 1910 to discuss the High School building and possible tax levy increase. Attendees include P B Stikley R A Lemley J A Adams J D Steele C T Bruns hack J P Carhaugh W Hi Painter C B Cougill and others.
Magistrate Dee acted as coroner with a jury that viewed the remains. The panel found that White died from a gut wound inflicted by Oliver Poindexter. Witnesses were directed to appear Thursday morning and funeral arrangements were set with Rector George W. Furts to prepare the burial. Remains expected to be interred in Red Bud’s colored cemetery.
