Virginia Apple Crop in Demand
The Richmond Dispatch notes Virginia’s 1901 apple crop is in demand though trees still bloom. Letters to Commissioner Koiner seek early purchase options from western buyers, aiming to secure fruit before harvest. Farmers may sell now to raise cash, risking price declines if crops later improve. Frederick County yields look strong.
