Verdict Awarded Against Railroad in Cow Death Suit
A damage suit by J. N. Zombre of Eventig Star Dereau Berryville. against the Norfolk and Western Railway Company, ended yesterday with a verdict totaling 185 dollars in favor of the plaintiff. The claim cited the death of three cows valued at 45 dollars each. Counsel included Marshal McCormick for the railroad and Whiting and Smith for the plaintiff.
