Convention Adourns After Historic Baltimore Conference
The thirty sixth annual convention of the Sunday Schools of the Baltimore Conference, Methodist Episcopal Church South, adjourned sine die in Winchester after sessions since July 6 at Braddock Street Church. Delegates numbering 225 were present, with Washington, DC expected next. Leaders including Dr. Hamill and Rev. E V Regester delivered talks on Scripture study and evangelizing power. Epworth League Rally drew a large crowd under Rev W H H Joyce.

Accused Youth Stands Trial in Rosenberger Robbery Case
The Commonwealth cases against Jacob Haines, named in three indictments for breaking into C. M. Rosenberger's store during December and January, are heard in County Court before Judge Wm. M. Atkinson. Trial on the January 3 burglary proceeds with defense by R. I. Barton and Holmes Boyd Jr. and Commonwealth by R. E Byrd. A jury of twelve sits, with witnesses including John Parker who faces related charges. verdict expected tomorrow.

Parting at Railroad Station Moves Onlookers
A Baltimore & Ohio train scene at noon showed a mother weeping openly as her twenty year old daughter, dementia patient, was taken to Staunton asylum. The mother kissed her goodbye on the platform then sobbed, holding her other younger daughter to comfort her.

James W. Doran, 65, farmer and ex Confederate soldier of Berry's Ferry Clarke county, died at 1 15 am from sunstroke suffered while harvesting on a Royston farm. Born Millwood Virginia he served in Clarke Cavalry and was captured in Washington DC. He leaves a widow two sons Luther and Arthur and several siblings. Funeral Friday at Bethel Church with Rev Hillbourn officiating.

Stampede at station as train leaves with mass of unTicketed passengers
A large crowd clashed with Baltimore and Ohio Railroad staff when a noon train pulled out late after delays in ticketing. Deluged passengers rushed the cars causing injuries including a delegate from the Southern Methodist Convention. Bystanders helped, but several left without tickets while a mentally ill asylum guard and patient were among those aboard.

Two men Harry M. Henry and Gamey Taylor were charged with taking 60 cents from a countryman. After a disputed tale of a present the pair were convicted and sentenced to sixty days in jail as suspected Lead Pipe Gang members.

County Couple to Be Married in Frederick County
A marriage license was issued today to Melvin McDonald and Edith V Cr of Frederick County. The bride is the daughter of Mr. P. Carper and regarded as a pretty young lady. McDonald is a Clarke County native now a Frederick farmer. The ceremony is planned in a day or two. Squire Hodgson and Captain Cooper went to Strasburg for a fishing trip.

Cows Dominate City Council Meeting
The council discussed live stock with emphasis on cows. Councilman John K. Lewis paid $2 to release his cow after it roamed at large. He blamed driver neglect, noting his pasture owner would fetch the animal daily but delays occurred. A stock-running ordinance was pursued and G. Ashby Swanson appointed pond keeper.

Reinterment of Confederate Soldiers at Stonewall Cemetery
Simple yet impressive services marked the re interment of Confederate soldiers transferred from Bruce town for burial at Stonewall Cemetery in the city yesterday evening. Turner Ashby Camp veterans led the ceremony with muffled drums as Daughters of the Confederacy and Ladies Memorial Association joined around the mound. Sexton J W Hamilton sprinkled earth while the crowd heard prayers and songs and listened to brief addresses by Camp Commander R T Barton.

Twenty years after Elijah Rudolph died in Frederick county Virginia his widow held the life estate with the Roanoke College as ultimate beneficiary valued at six thousand dollars. Mrs Rudolph of near Fawcetts Gap has died and trustees inform the college inherits the farm via Roanoke College at Salem Virginia.
