Move of Eddy Press Plant From Winchester to Cumberland

Inadequate railroad facilities and high freight rates are blamed as the cause for the move. The Eddy Press Corporation will remove its entire plant from Winchester to Cumberland Maryland, including presses and machinery, to be installed in a building already secured there. Removal has begun and will take several weeks. the first of June is hoped for completion. Fourteen families and sixteen single persons will relocate with the plant, and local business will suffer losses from wages taxes and insurance totaling about 35.
