Valuable Horse Injured Near Winchester Hospital
A large black horse owned by Mr. W. W. Wall was severely injured yesterday afternoon near the Winchester Memorial Hospital. While being driven to a cart by John Strange, the horse cut its hind leg on slate, severing an artery and bleeding heavily. Attempts to stop the bleeding failed until a tourniquet was applied and the wound tied and sewn.
