Dress Caught Fire From Open Stove Fatality Averted
A guest at Miss Briggs boarding house on North Market Street had her dress catch fire from an open stove. Mrs Smith of Staunton was rescued by Professor Neff who extinguished the flames. She suffered a minor burn to her hand.
