General George Washington Parke Custis Lee eldest son of Robert E. Lee died yesterday at Ravensworth Fairfax County aged 89. He served as a West Point graduate and U S Army lieutenant before joining the Confederate army rising to major general. Daniel EB Bane 38 of Whitacre Virginia killed himself near Burlington West Virginia by shooting himself in the head after suffering from a sore on his arm tied to a vaccination program. He was unmarried and lived with his father Arthur W Bane a wealthy Mineral County farmer. A watch was kept over him when the attendant briefly left the room.
