Wardensville Man Ends Life With Gunshot
David Heltzel of near Wardensville West Virginia died Thursday morning by self inflicted gunshot. He suffered partial paralysis on one side and had long been in poor health. Found yesterday by a neighbor with a loaded revolver beside him the scene indicated suicide. He was a well known local figure with ties to Frederick County and Winchester.

Reports from all sections say birds suffered in the recent cold spell with many found dead. Farmers are urged to scatter grain and feed to help birds, including crows, whose roosting sites in Pine Hills were affected by the freeze.
Miss Anna Bruin In Railroad Wreck
Miss Anna Bruin and Mrs. Hunter were in a Charlotte North Carolina railroad accident while traveling to Savannah for Mrs. Hunters health. Bruin suffered a fractured arm and Mrs. Hunter was severely bruised. Mr. Hunter escaped unharmed.

Mr. J. W. Peyton, an old Confederate soldier, died at his Front Royal home after a lingering kidney illness. A Warren county leader and former public official, he leaves daughter Miss Bessie H. From Winchester letters it is learned that Rev Julian Sibley former pastor here now leads the First Presbyterian Church at Pensacola Florida with notable success. Since August he has added sixty three members and received a $250 library fund from his congregation. The local pulpit remains vacant and Rev J Horace Lacey of Clarksville Tenn is expected to accept a call and preach here March 2nd.
