Dedication of Episcopal Church in Woodstock Virginia
The Episcopal Church at Woodstock Virginia was consecrated yesterday morning by Bishop Robert A. Gibson of Richmond. Dr. James Grammar of Winchester, a former pastor, attended and took part in the services. The church, first consecrated in August 1883, burned August 14 1900 and cost $3 000 to replace. Memorial windows honor Rev. Jas Shields Rev. J Li Hines and Muhlenburg. Pastor is Rev. D C T Davis.

Engine Crew Runs Overtime on Cumberland Valley Line
Railroad engine led by Engineer W. E. Hussong and Fireman Vance Yeakley reached Winchester at 6 00 to haul the 7 30 train. The engine worked yesterday and last night on the upper end aiding heavy freight traffic, forcing the crew to work nearly triple time.

McNeil Ranger From Stephens City Credited With War Feats
E A D White known as the Mc Neil ranger from Stephens City Virginia died in Rockbridge County last week. He joined a Confederate unit led by Capt Jesse McNeil that rode into Cumberland Maryland capturing prisoners from the Union army. The party captured General Crook and General Kelly at a hotel before escaping back to Confederate lines. Also in the party was Van de Venter of Boyce Virginia.

Col John Hampton Hoge died at Roanoke on Saturday and was buried in Blacksburg after funeral services led by Rev T F McCrea and others. The ceremony at the Methodist Episcopal South church drew many locals as pallbearers listed including W A Pedigo and Harvey Thrall. Hoge, a noted politician and lawyer, had addressed Confederate veterans in Winchester. A Berryville dispatch notes Tom Johnson, accused of attempted assault on Mrs. Holliday of Winchester, will face a special grand jury in March.

Despite bad weather nearly all seats filled at The Auditorium for Lyman H. Howe moving pictures presented by the Winchester Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary to raise funds for furnishing and equipping the hospital. The program featured scenes from daily life and history including the coronation of King Edward and Queen Alexandra, with audience praise and an expected net of 98.43 dollars.
