Rev James Milhon Dies in Ohio at 86
The Rev James Milhon a Frederick County native and former resident died February 1 near McArthur Ohio at age 86. He came to Noble County in 1845 and Vinton County in 1855 leaving a widow Eliza Larrick and nine children eight of whom predeceased him. He rests at Locust Grove Cemetery after a service by Rev Ward and a memorial by Hon Henry Coultrap.

Maj Louis E Johnson son of Reverdy Johnson of Maryland and brother of Maj E C Johnson died at his residence in Washington on Saturday in his seventieth year. He was interred in Greenmount Cemetery Baltimore. Survived by four children and several Maryland relatives. Reverdy Johnson, Sr. was a U S Senator and prominent Maryland figure.

The funeral for A D Myers was held at his home near Gaylord on Monday at 11 o clock. Government building approved for Winchester
Mr Shirley Carter reports that the House Appropriations Committee favorably reported the public building bill for Winchester with a 60 000 dollar appropriation. Senator Thomas Martin and Representative James Hay led the effort, with Carter thanking them for securing the favorable report. Weather prophet Rev Srl Hicks predicted three more storms this month with dates around the 15th 16th the 19th to 21st and the 26th to 28th. Fatal Illness at the Dinner Table
Refuge Feb 15 Mrs. William Tobin died at her home Monday evening at 7 15 from a stroke of apoplexy. She was 51 and had been in good health until noon. At dinner she became ill, could not see, and died before 7 15. Dr. P B Stickley said death due to stroke. Funeral 11 a m at Friendship Chapel. Interment at Friendship. She leaves husband and four sons Charles Budd Edward and George Tobin.

Boy Injured in Coasting Accident Near Market Street
A double decker sled loaded with boys and one man crashed into a four horse wagon on an ice slick street after 1 pm. Fifteen year old George Grim was kicked in the stomach and bruised but not seriously hurt as bystanders scattered. The horses fled north, the wagon tongue broke, and the owner sought legal recourse for damages.
