Aged Lady Juliet Kurtz Dies After Asthma Attack
Miss Juliet Virginia Kurtz died Saturday night at eight after a brief illness from heart failure caused by a severe asthma attack. Born March 28 1832 in Winchester she was 71 and survived by sister Miss Mary Kurtz and several relatives. She supported Grace Lutheran Church and the Ladies Confederate Memorial Society and will be buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery after a 3 PM service at her home.

John Omps entered his burning Bloomery West Virginia barn to free five horses trapped by halter straps. He sustained severe burns to face and hands but is expected to recover. the blaze destroyed the barn and contents valued around 1000 dollars with 500 dollars insured.
