Winchester Man Attacks Woman in Harrisburg
In Harrisburg Pennsylvania William Johnson a Winchester Virginia man attacked Leonie Alstock at 507 South Avenue knocking her down with a chair and slashing her throat. He is jailed on felonious assault and battery charges awaiting a hearing and police say he is wanted in Maryland for other offenses. The injured woman survived a four inch throat wound. Johnson had been in the city three days and had previously threatened Alstock.

Terrible Pete Safe in Jail in Slashing Case

Desperado Dixon Arrives in Winchester After Capture
Dixon, a slight 125 pound youth not over 5 feet 8 inches, was brought to Winchester by City Sergeant Taylor and Constable Jeremiah Buel after capture on the Cumberland Valley Railroad at 7 15 last night. A large crowd greeted him at the station, hoping for a glimpse of the notorious criminal. He appeared mild and submissive, and though certain of a long prison term, remained light hearted during the trip, singing and laughing for the car’s passengers.
